Biennale Interieur
After the first three “terrestrial landings” – in Milan during the Fuorisalone, in Basel during the Art Basel in the Depot Basel and in Venice with the special event “Italian Landing” within the Venice Biennial – the collective exhibit “Another Terra – Home Away from Home” is invited to participate to the Biennial Interieur 2012 of Kortrijk, in Belgium.
The works in exhibit are the result of a research that the participants accomplished in order to answer the following question: if by choice or necessity, we were to imagine life on a planet that wasn’t Earth, which would be the characteristic of our “minimal carry-on baggage” that would accompany us in our journey through the galaxies towards a celestial body with sustainable living conditions for man?
The projects involved in the collective are all unique pieces created exclusively for the event by the designers participating in the annual IN Residence workshops; the list of participants shows a selection of famous names within the international scene brought together by the quality of their research and by the intensity of their works.
