“Identity Detectors” is the theme that guides the sixth chapter in the explorations of the IN Residence Diaries project. This volume has a special focus on the mechanism that makes an object become the means through which an identity is revealed. The object – whether it be tangible or abstract – may exude and amplify the distinctive traits of a certain identity and, consequently, translate and transfer socio-cultural values pertinent to the empirical and theoretical process leading to the design of a finished object.
The book also offers the opportunity to deepen the thought and work of the designers who took part in the sixth edition of the series of workshops produced by IN Residence.
