“Visible Invisible” sets out to organize a reflection on the different modalities through which design plays the role of decoding instrument to translate and understand contemporary life.
In this scenario, designers have a fundamental social role, as they study the signals revealing the “invisible”, acting as clairvoyants with a hidden sensitivity and a sharp clarity of mind that is combined with the creative ability of giving a shape to what is intended to become visible and therefore perceivable.
How many are the daily needs – both big and small – that are still unknown, not codified or translated into an understandable language for the majority of people or not entirely part of a system, therefore impossible to share on a collective basis, that need to earn the dimension and dignity of those themes we measure the quality of contemporary life on?
What part of our liveable space includes “possibilities” and “opportunities” that are still “invisible”, as they are not perceived or not immediately evident?
